Consider what factors and lifestyle choices may affect your personal health, fitness, and well-being (include at least one reference)

(Write approx. 400 words)

There are several factors and a variety of lifestyle choices that can have a direct influence on personal health, wellbeing, and fitness. There are plenty of people who follow an unhealthy lifestyle. These people are tending to encounter more illnesses as well as disabilities (Fetherston, et al., 2020). The problems like metabolic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, skeletal and joint problems, overweight, hypertension as well as violence can be caused because of an unhealthy lifestyle. Because of the unhealthy food eating habits, an individual can suffer from the problems of life obesity. There are people whose lifestyle is influenced by different bad habits such as tobacco consumption, alcohol consumption as well as smoking which are quite injurious to the health and fitness of an individual. These can also cause a life-threatening disease for a person (Boyd, 2019). On the other hand, healthy lifestyle choices and factors such as regular exercise, drinking water, and consuming healthy food can be the reason behind a fit and healthy body. Being hydrated is very important for the human body to avoid many types of health issues (Boyd, 2019). The key factors affecting the health and wellbeing of a person include physical activities, diet, alcohol consumption, smoking, social interaction, stress as well as weight gain (Fetherston, et al., 2020).

Considering the factors affecting personal health and wellbeing there are mainly 5 of them. These are the diet, rest, exercise, posture as well as avoiding and neglecting the use of drugs, alcohol as well as tobacco. It is important for a person to make the diet goals in order to stay healthy and active. Eating healthy food such as fruits, salads and other healthy items can be helpful in maintaining fitness as well as avoiding harmful diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure as well as poor bone health. On the different side, it is very important for a person to take good sleep after a hectic day because sleep is necessary for mental peace and also promotes wellbeing. Another major factor in the exercise. Every individual should give exercise some time out of the busy schedule in order to stay active and fit. Exercise not only helps in keeping fit but also reduces stress. After that, the posture should be maintained by the individuals while sitting or while doing any other work because good posture habit is also useful in keeping the body fit and avoid different types of body ache. In the end, as mentioned in the lifestyle choices, tobacco, drugs, and alcohol consumption should be avoided to maintain good health.

Identify what strategies you will need for self-care and how you will develop resilience (include at least one reference)

(Write approx. 400 words)

In the modern world, we all are stuck with our stressful jobs, a huge infusion of technology in our lives, and plenty of relationships to maintain. Though all these are vital for sustaining our lives we are forgetting to take care of ourselves amongst them and thus leading ourselves to an unhealthy and unstable life on a primitive level. The first and foremost thing for self-care is keeping our gut right. All the junk food we eat is driving us towards cyclic failure. As long as we keep your body healthy and maintain its vitality we can dearly focus on the other aspects of your life which are important for your sustainability and if our health is in a state of continuous deterioration everything around us falters. So, keeping our gut right is the first step of self-care. It is not important to hit the gym regularly but one should have some minor exercising schedule on a daily basis as it not only helps us physically but also has a huge impact on our mental health as it reduces stress (Taylor, 2019). Getting organized has also proven to be of great help in self-care routines. A particular schedule in which our day is planned makes your day move along smoothly and saves us from getting into haywire situations. We have hugely underestimated the importance of sleep in this modern world where everything needs to be done quickly. Getting a prior sleep will help is reinitializing our body and mind and is a great self-care practice (Lloyd and Campion, 2017).

Taking care of ourselves will automatically help us build resilience. We will be able to wither the storm of difficult circumstances. As discussed above a person who eats right, sleeps right, has an organized schedule and, takes care of his physical health by regular exercise will apparently have strong resilience than the rest. First of all their person will very much be physically able to do daily routine generic tasks and also will withhold his mental demeanor in difficult situations. Physical toughness generally is a prerequisite to resilience but it broadly is a mental battle. So, basic things which were mentioned above are of the utmost importance. These might not seem humongous but practicing these on a regular basis will make a world of difference in lives. Self-care is the stepping stone towards building a resilient body and mind and a resilient body and mind are the prerequisite for a healthy and happy life (Mills, et al., 2020).

Discuss the relationship between your personal health and wellbeing and the professional responsibilities you will have as a nurse (include at least one reference)

(Write approx. 400 words)

As a nurse, there are plenty of responsibilities that need to be fulfilled timely as well as with a lot of concentration. Providing care to patients is not an easy task as one needs to be always there with them and understand their all needs. While maintaining and fulfilling the professional responsibilities, there is also a requirement of maintaining personal health as well as well being. It is the job of a nurse to support as well as inform the patients when they have any kind of question or they are apprehensive about the procedure, treatment, or any aspect related to their care. There is a strong relationship between personal health and wellbeing as well as the professional responsibilities of a nurse (Salmela, et al., 2017). It is really important that while fulfilling the duties, the nurse should not avoid his/her personal health and wellbeing. There is a requirement of taking enough rest, eating good food, building bonds with colleagues, or interact socially and avoid any kind of consumption of harmful substances such as drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. It is quite difficult to manage personal health and wellbeing as well as professional responsibilities but through creating a balance between both of them, this can be possible. The nurse can perform exercises at the time of caring for his/her patient and can also help the patient in doing the same (Gabrielsson, et al., 2016). As a nurse, I will be quite busy in recording the medical history as well as symptoms of the patients, advocate for the health and wellbeing of my patients, collaborate with the team members to plan the treatment of the patients, monitor the health and wellbeing of the patients as well as perform different diagnostic tests. In all these activities, it becomes very hard for me to focus on my diet, my exercise as well as in getting appropriate time for good sleep. On the other hand, personal health is also my responsibility that I need to focus on while performing my professional duties. For such a purpose, I need to be active and avoid any kind of activities that can hamper my personal health and wellbeing. As a nurse, it is my duty to care for the patients and simultaneously I am also responsible for my personal care. I need to focus on that and should adopt all those strategies that are important in developing self-care as well as resilience (Carvalho, et al., 2016).
