Consideration and Identification of a Valid Area for Research to Support Strategic Development of a Business Area

Throughout the conduction of a brief research and market analysis, the researcher has been able to get sufficient information regarding the available researches in the market. In this aspect, some unique topic has to be considered by the researcher for his or her successful achievement of the research goals. Therefore, the researcher has decided to choose the area of supply chain management system of a business (Qamar and Hall, 2018). Because, the researcher has realised that there are several organisations that faced different kinds of supply chain management issues during their organisational business operation. Therefore, the topic of this research is “Development of Strategic Supply Chain Management System in the UK Based Automobile Organisations”.

Explanation of the Aims and Objectives

Research Aims

Generally, the research aims to effectively and successfully evaluate and demonstrate the knowledge about the development of strategic supply chain management system in the UK based automobile organisations.

Research Objectives

  • To identify the challenges that are facing by different UK based automobile organisations within their supply chain management system.
  • To evaluate the impact of different supply chain challenges on the automobile organisations in the UK.
  • To rationalise different advance technological approaches for developing supply chain management system.
  • To develop different strategies and theories for improving the supply chain management system.

Formulation of a Specific Research Proposal

During the conduction of the entire study of the research, the researcher has been able to significantly utilise and implement the most appropriate and resilient methods and approaches within this research study. Therefore, among the four fundamental research philosophy like positivism, realism, pragmatism and interpretivism, the researcher will utilise the pragmatism philosophy within this study. Through this, the researcher will be able to prominently demonstrate the effective and efficient information regarding both the quantitative and qualitative data. Moreover, on the other hand, the researcher also will implement and incorporate the inductive research approach within this study (Kaur et al., 2019). Through this, the research will be able to effectively generate a new knowledge about the strategic development of the organisational supply chain management system of the UK based automobile companies. In this way, the readers and the future researchers of this particular research study will be able to develop a significant knowledge about the development process of supply chain management system.

In this aspect, in order to successfully structure and design the entire research study for the learners, the researcher will utilise and employ the exploratory research design method. In this way, the researcher will be able to effectively develop and explore the most significant information and knowledge regarding this study topic. In this way, on the other hand, the researcher will utilise the convenient research sampling method for efficiently and proficiently collecting the most appropriate and authentic information regarding the study topic. Generally, there are numerous sampling methods are available for effectively collect and gather the most reliable and evident information and data for the research study (Schuurman, 2020). However, the researcher has realised that the convenient sampling method will be the most effective and resilient approach for collecting the data and information for this study. Moreover, on the other hand, the research will collect the data only from the primary sources.

In this aspect, in order to collect the primary quantitative data, the researcher will conduct the survey among the 50 employees of five different automobile organisation in the UK. Moreover, in order to collect the primary qualitative data and information, the researcher will utilise and conduct the interview among the 5-supply chain manager of five different automobile organisations in the UK. In this way, by collecting the most authentic and appropriate data and information regarding the study topic, the researcher will utilise the statistical analysis for analysing the quantitative data and thematic analysis for analysing the primary qualitative data for this research (Zhu, Sari and Lee, 2018). Moreover, during the conduction of the survey and interview, the researcher will effectively maintain all the necessary ethical activities and will maintain the confidentiality of the participants in order to maintain the research ethics guideline. This will help the researcher in order to efficiently and successfully accomplish the research study.

Establishment of Success Criteria for the Achievement of the Research Proposal

Generally, after the accomplishment of the entire research study, the research will generate and demonstrate some unique knowledge and information to the future researchers and the learners. In this aspect, it becomes easy to say that there is no research that have already evaluated the particular and specific knowledge regarding this study (Chen and Yang, 2019). Therefore, the researcher will be able to successfully conduct and execute the entire research in the market. Thus, this study become more rationale and significant for the learners and the future researchers.

In this way, by considering above the Gantt Chart or the Research Timeline for achieving different milestones for accomplishing the entire research study, it becomes evaluated that in the first week, the researcher has undertaken the topic of the research. In this way, by undertaking the research topic, the researcher has set the aims and objectives of the research study through first and second week. Moreover, the research questions also will be developed. In this way, by considering the objectives, the researcher will conduct and start the literature study in the second week. In this way, beside the conduction of the literature study, the researcher will implement and employ the research methods to efficiently conduct the research. In this way, the researcher will collect the data for the study in the third week and will analyse all the data and information through fourth and fifth week. In this way, the researcher will accomplish the entire research study in the sixth week and will gather feedback in from the seventh week.
