Identification of public health issues and local demographic

Mental health issues are also known as mental health disorders that mainly refer to a huge range of mental health problems. As stated by Martin (2021), this mainly affects the behaviour, mood and thinking conditions of individuals. However, According to WHO, in the case of adults, this type of mental health condition is common as in this time they meet different people as well as different opinions. Therefore, in most cases, both early adulthood and middle adulthood age groups are considered highly affected groups of mental ill-health issues. Multiple individuals grow mental health problems at different times. However, a mental health situation evolves into a mental disease when continuous signs as well as symptoms generate frequent anxiety and affect the functional ability of an individual. According to Martin (2021), mental sickness can make an individual tragic as well as it could cause different issues in their daily life that include, their workplace, relationships and classes as well. In addition to that, in most patients, signs can be controlled with a mixture of medicines along with talk therapy which is also known as psychotherapy. `

Mental illness is a broad term for a group of diseases that could include symptoms which can influence a person’s thoughts, perceptions, attitude as well as behaviour. According to Martin (2021), mental ill-health can create difficulties for individuals to manage work, relationships along with other activities or demands. The connection between mental illness and stress is complicated, whereas it is understood that anxiety can exacerbate an episode of mental sickness. In this case, a maximum number of people can manage their mental condition with counselling, medicine or with the help of both. According to Martin (2021), generalised anxiety disorders are the most common types of disorder that mainly shows in the case of adult women or men as well. The rate of this illness is higher in women than men.

The East London Health and Care Partnership (ELHCP) Data Repository has been established to help commissioning determinations in London (Betterhealth.gov.uk, 2021). Moreover, this dataset includes regular clinical data for general practitioner (GP)-registered people of two London boroughs, Hackney Tower Hamlets and City. this also provides a wealthy origin of health service, clinical as well as demographic use data of relevancy to researchers, commissioners, policymakers and clinicians. Mental well-being management was a wonderful area underfunded for quite a while, beginning around 2000 there has been a steady decline in the number of mental ill-health accessible in the UK. There were roughly 24.5 thousand psychiatric care cases in 2018. On the other hand, in the current time, almost 12.7 thousand psychiatrists working in the UK, which was almost 8.2 thousand in 2000 (Statista, 2022).

Burden of the problem

In case of talking about mental health has slowly become normalised, as well as the stigma that was earlier connected to it has been diminished to some extent. In the current era, it stayed rather than a taboo topic that could bring different adults towards this essay as most young adults faced this type of health condition due to different situations. This carries the research to the covid-19 pandemic when the impacts on mental health that an enormous portion of the population experienced show a unique level of exposure regarding the efforts that individuals are collected, albeit frequently in isolation, enduring. A new Statista survey found that 4 out of 10 adults in the UK said the pandemic had a negative impact on their mental health. This infographic shows that only 26% of respondents said they had not encountered any of the problems listed in the past year. Along with that, 36% of respondents reported anxiety and 38% reported stress or poor mental condition (Martin, 2021). Nearly 1/5th of respondents reported keeping panic attacks and more than a quarter said they had gone through a depressive attack in the prior year.

Summary of Current and Past Innovation

Pseudonyms are used in maintaining patient care because it is helpful in controlling confidentiality in patients’ data recording process (Abd Razak et al. 2020). Pseudonyms indicate the process of using fake names instead of real identities and I have used them to maintain data privacy and it is important for increasing the recording process more effectively. The usefulness of Pseudonyms is maintained in healthcare because patients’ data is confidential and it is important for increasing the efficiency of data management (Stokkink et al. 2021). The real name can be used to misuse the actual data of patients and it can cause major issues in the data management process of healthcare professionals and to minimize these issues I have used Pseudonyms.

Patient care is very important for improving the health condition and it can be mental or physical issues that are faced by patients. I have given proper treatment and care to the patients according to their issues and choices of treatment. As opined by Karaca and Durna, (2019), behavior with patients is maintained properly because it can reflect an impact on the mental and physical recovery of patients. I have increased my efficiency in maintaining treatment and care for patients because different patients require different treatments because of various issues. As stated by Pichler et al. (2019), the treatment processes for children and old people are different and their issues should be treated according to their health condition and preferences. Proper knowledge has gathered by me through the treatment and care-given process and I have known that a patient should be treated with politeness and efficiency because it can reflect an impact on mental health development.

Holism

Holism in healthcare indicates the treatment or care process of a whole patient and in this treatment process all different factors of treatment such as diet, exercise, counseling, and others along with disease or injury treatment (Jörgenfelt and Partington, 2019). I have understood that with this healthcare process total healthcare can be maintained and it is important for minimizing the factors that are causing issues in health development. As an example, a patient with a leg injury will be treated for his injury along with a diet plan, exercise knowledge, and counseling for mental health is given for full recovery of the patient in respect of physical and mental health.

Summary description of the models

Behavior in healthcare indicates the actions that are done by patients and healthcare professionals and it reflects an impact on the health condition of patients. As opined by Kumar and Mahajan, (2019), there is a difference between patients' and healthcare workers’ behavior and it can reflect an impact on healthcare activities. Some patients do smoke and drink or use substances and it is very effective in causing issues in their health and healthcare workers give treatment & care for the well-being of patients with polite behavior. According to the actions of patients and healthcare workers the health condition can be maintained and proper treatment & care should be provided.

Value in healthcare indicates the measurement of improvement of patients’ health condition through treatment and care on the basis of the cost that is required for achieving the health improvement. As stated by Wald (2020), patients and healthcare workers have to maintain their responsibilities in developing their health condition because of the expenses and physical pain have to bear by the patients and the treatment process is maintained by workers. Proper treatment and care are required for improving the health condition of patients and healthcare professionals give facilities of care and medical attention is provided but at a cost.

Beliefs in healthcare indicate the understanding of patients about their activities and the efficiency of healthcare workers. Patients are not willing to believe that their actions of smoking, drinking, and substance use are not effective for their health as long as they are not facing any health issues. As opined by Halpin and Reid, (2022), healthcare professionals can give a proper idea of the risk factors that are present in these actions, and knowledge of health problems can be gathered by patients. Improvement in healthcare is the responsibility of healthcare professionals and patients have to believe that they will get a proper treatment process and their health condition will be developed.

Intervention strategies

Healthcare workers’ behaviour, values, and beliefs are very effective for patient care because it improves the health condition of patients, and a proper relationship between patients and healthcare professionals can be maintained. As stated by Zaid et al. (2020), the ethics and principles of healthcare professionals are important for providing appropriate treatment according to the expenses the patients have to bear. Patient satisfaction can be achieved with these factors and it is important for maintaining the efficiency of workers in providing patient care. Mental health is important for patients’ health development and it can be maintained through the behaviour and beliefs of healthcare workers because polite and friendly behaviour and relationship can be effective for trusting the treatment process. As opined by Chey et al. (2021), the efficiency of healthcare workers can be increased and patient care activity is improved because the factors have developed a relationship between patients and workers. A detailed discussion about health issues and treatment processes and is beneficial for maintaining proper healthcare activity.

Disbalance between healthcare professionals and patients:Healthcare professionals and patients should discuss the treatment process because it helps to understand the process of care but there are some difficulties in communication. The mental condition or physical condition of patients is causing issues maintaining the balance between professionals and patients and for that, misunderstanding and disrespect for healthcare professionals.

Data privacy maintenance:Healthcare workers are facing issues in maintaining the data privacy of patients’ details and this information is confidential and proper privacy should be provided by the workers. Technological knowledge and process of privacy control are important for confidentiality maintenance but healthcare workers are not efficient enough (Attaran, 2022).

Aging population:The population of older people is increasing and healthcare workers are mainly needed for them because of their health condition and it is difficult for workers. They are not able to give care to a large number of older people and that is effective for healthcare activity development (Braquehais and Vargas-Cáceres, 2023).

Impact on health: Healthcare workers have to give treatment and care 24/7 and for that, their physical and mental health is affected. Some illnesses can be infectious and it is effective for workers because they have to give care and treatment to them. Tiredness, stress, physical issues, and other health issues can be seen in workers due to providing care to patients 24/7 (Bozda? and Ergün, 2021).

In order to conclude the essay efficiency and the importance of internal and external factors in healthcare are discussed and it helps to improve the treatment and care of patients. Detailed knowledge of mental health condition of adults in East London. Behaviour, value, and belief in healthcare are analysed to understand the importance and efficiency of healthcare activity maintenance.

The entire treatment procedure ought to be discussed, and it ought to be continued in accordance with the patients' opinions and preferences. I now know that autonomy can maintain a relationship between workers and patients while also enhancing the treatment process. Decisional autonomy, informative autonomy, narrative autonomy, executive autonomy, and functional autonomy are all different kinds of autonomy. The impact of these factors on patient care and the challenges faced by healthcare professionals are mentioned to gather knowledge about the process of improving healthcare activities. All important factors of patient care processes are discussed to understand the importance of development in healthcare professionals' efficiency.
