The age of the child is three years old who needs help in doing daily activities. He needs care and special attention. What other children can do he is not able to do in one go. He needs support and attention from his teachers, parents, and fellow mates in learning, doing and applying things. He is not able to do things alone, he needs someone with him. The areas in which he needs support are communication, eating with other children, playing with other children, tolerance, and grouping with others.

The child's ability to complete the task in my view is related to analyzing the task first and then performing it. Analyzing or figuring out the task leads to planning which is important according to me. Second, comes the setting up of the goal, he needs to set up the goal of the task he wishes to reach by the determined time. He needs to adjust all his actions according to the task and his ability to perform. This is called the process of self-analyzing. In this case, he is able to complete the task on time perhaps his disabilities in my opinion.

Section 2

In the context of my collaboration with the teacher and the child is focused more on effective learning which includes both reading as well as writing. Both these activities will make his communication skills and letter recognition stronger as he lacks in this. In my viewpoint, books which consist of poems, stories, and drawings should be provided to him in order to make him active. Also, for the paired reading activity books related to wildlife, communication, math, English, and gaming should be provided to him so that these books will help in his speaking and reading (Lampos, et. al, 2021). Also, he loves to play puzzles, jigsaw, etc. These types of books should be available to him by his teachers and parents.

Paired reading activity is very helpful in the primary school curriculum. As these activities are important for learning because it mainly targets literacy, reading and speaking skills. Teachers and parents can easily see the progress of the child in learning lessons through this activity. I expect that the learning outcome that he is going to achieve from doing this activity is that this activity will help him build confidence inside him which he lacks in communication with other children. In accordance with me, paired activity will result in improving reading fluency by making him more comfortable in speaking. The imagination and visualization of the child will boost as his interest in reading will increase because the books chosen for paired activity includes plays, poems and poetry. The interaction between him and his other fellow mates will become easy through this activity.

The preparation required for me in the beginning the activity is learning, reading, and understanding the child's needs. I cannot begin with the activity without understanding the need of the child. With understanding it becomes easier for the teacher and parents to plan activities accordingly so that their child will enjoy such things. Secondly, I has to understand the impact of the activity on the child. What I believe is that the impact the following activity will have on the child is important for planning and proceeding (Pimentel, 2022). Another very important thing is whether the books that they are using for the paired activity are appropriate or not is the responsibility of both parents and me to evaluate them before exploring the activity with the child. I and other staff should also prepare the materials that we are going to use in the activity. The equipment and tools that are being used will be safe and hygienic for the children is my responsibility. For ensuring this I and my staff members have to encourage hand washing timely so that diseases like coughing, sneezing, etc. will remain away from them. Using sanitisers, soaps, tissues, towels, etc. will promote hygiene among children (Syriopoulou-Delli and Eleni, 2022). Regularly cleaning toys and equipment before giving them to children will help in maintaining a clean environment. AAC options are used when communication needs are not fulfilled by writing, speaking, and delayed speech. AAC includes gestures, signs, images, and electronic gadgets.

I think that the AAC option strategy is the most suitable strategy that can be used with this particular child. The reason behind adopting this strategy in my view is that the child can easily express his needs. He can engage easily and can communicate with others. Frustration in communication can be overcome with this practice. Some challenges like chatting, speaking, and the child's behavior in communication can be reduced with effective conversation. With AAC he will develop clear communication ahead of his disability. Continuation of using AAC depends on the child's strengths and weaknesses. That's what I feel for using this strategy.

The best practice to support the child in clear communication can be done with the use of signs and gestures. He needs extra time in processing the information, so the teacher has to give him a little extra time to understand. Asking the child, again and again, will give an idea to the teacher if he is comfortable or not. Another practice that the teacher can do is using bigger texts. The usage of bullet points in big font can be useful in conversation. The practitioner can create a positive and safe atmosphere for the child so that he can build effective relationships with his peers.

Studying, consuming literature, and comprehending the requirements of the kid are prerequisites before the task can be started. As a teacher I need preparation in first grasp the child's needs before they can start doing something? Apart from using the AAC options strategy, I has also used the Lámh strategy also in the care routine. When schools and daycare are closed during a holiday the child can practice communication using Lámh. As Lámh provides free access to its signs the child can use it at his home also. More than 580 Lámh signs are available virtually that can be used as a temporary solution to the problem. The availability of signs like space, clean, hand wash, etc. makes easy access for the child and parents. This also includes videos which the parents can show to the child. In this way, Lámh can be useful in a different way.

When it comes to jigsaw puzzles and other types of puzzles, the boy is highly intelligent, skilled, and energetic according to me. While acting well toward others, he prefers to be by himself. Because he is a timid person, he prefers to be alone and avoids making new acquaintances or chatting with individuals. For this reason, he used to have fun while not interacting with his peers because he disliked being in noisy conditions (Dodge-Chin, et. al, 2022). However, he will be inspired to interact and have fun in a positive setting. What I feel is that the interaction and the relationship between me and him are key components of the SNA's teaching methods. It is my duty as an SNA practitioner to ensure kiddos acquire useful skills.

The importance of care routine is when children become more independent and capable to manage their own things. This in turn highlights the value of autonomy promotion in children (Khamidova, 2021). It gives the kid the self-worth and sense of personality they need to make connections and have an impact on their fellow students and neighborhood. My experiences involved in working with the children are that they have their own learnings and experiences which teach an SNA in working efficiently. Working with such children has put a great effect on the thinking of society as a whole. Patience is the most important thing required for an SNA. It refers to the time and wait that I put for an activity to happen or for an individual. Respect defines the ability of an individual to accept others in the way they are. It builds trust and feelings among the person. To remain watchful every time is called observance (DeMatthews, et. al, 2020). As an SNA my ability is to observe people around them and ensure that the children are behaving well.

In my opinion those distractions and emotional barriers that exist become a challenge in communication. Irrelevant and incorrect results are derived when communication is not proper. Thus it is a major threat according to me. Another challenge is the difference between skills and qualities. Skills are gained while qualities are in-built between us.

As an SNA my interpersonal skills are required in this role. It helps in my work, collaborating with other people, building relations, interaction, and helping children with their needs. Learning includes the role of empathy used in providing facilities to others. Empathy lightens ups the feelings which someone has for another so that they can do their best for that person.

  • Recreational services- Activities like exploring, swimming, gaming, etc. are leisure activities. These activities help the children to relax, feel comfortable, and get relief from their hardships.
  • Mobility & orientation services- To solve the problem of movement these activities like mobility and navigation in the environment around the children are used. It helps in creating a safe atmosphere for the child.
  • Personal need provision- Providing things which are required in day-to-day life like toothpaste, toothbrushes etc are beneficial for SEN children.
  • Clothing- Clothing is obviously required. With proper clothing, one can improve their well-being and physical condition which enables them to avoid any bad thoughts occurring in their minds which could affect their behavior.

My personal learning and new skill development include the knowledge gained by working with SEN children. The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) is one area of learning. NCSE helps children in getting their education done at the right place and right time. NCSE also provided support to not only children but their parents and teachers. SENO in collaboration with NCSE provides children with education and resource facilities. This knowledge is important for understanding the functionality of NCSE in the role of an SNA is what I have experienced. Encouraging the well-being of SEN children, their importance in society, understanding their future needs, etc. all is required in planning the activities (Carroll, et. al, 2021).

My learning practice is applied into understanding the important concepts which demonstrate the ability of decision-making, information, and future practices. Theory practice is also used in the growth and critical thinking of the activities done for SEN children.

Key elements of the SNA's teaching strategies in my viewpoint include interactivity and the connection between the teacher and the student. The responsibility of an SNA specialist in my perspective is to guarantee that children learn practical skills. Also, these policies promote social inclusion in society in my judgment which ensures that children are getting equality and opportunity from the outside world.
