Rationale
In the current environment, living a luxury life is the need of every person. Thus, in such a case people tend to do expenses and they wish to buy better car options. Thus, while buying the car there are many different types of factors which need to be evaluated. The expense is high and for this people tend to analyse different options. Thus, the reason for selecting the present topic is that it will help people in evaluating the different options of cars based on petrol, diesel or electric options (Albatayneh et al, 2020). This study will help the person in evaluating which options are better for the successful selection of the best option based on different factors such as cost, reliability and others. Another reason for the selection of the current research topic is the personal and academic interest of the researcher within the research topic.
Literature Review
In the view of Hasan et al, (2021) buying a car is a very big decision and for this, there are many different types of factors that need to be considered. There are many different factors based on which the decision to purchase the car is affected. The most common factor is cost which is the money to buy the car. There a different variants of cars and majorly it include based on petrol, diesel or electric versions. Thus, the major factor that the buyer considers is the cost of all three types of cars. The cost is the major factor because it is paid by the consumer and they prefer the options which are less costly and provide major benefits. The case of electric cars is better based on cost because it is less costly as compared to petrol and diesel cars. It cuts the fuel cost by approximately 80 % and as a result of this, it is better in comparison to others (Electric vehicles vs petrol/diesel/hybrid, 2024).
On the other hand, Albatayneh et al, (2020) argued that reliability is another factor which is considered when buying a car. The reason underlying the fact is that when the options are reliable then it will be working in a better and more effective way. The selected option needs to be reliable so that the overall selection of the car can be undertaken easily. In support of this Andre et al, (2020) state that when buying a car another factor which needs to be considered is the practicality of the option. The option which is selected needs to be very practical. In case it is not efficient then it will affect the overall work to a great extent.
Against this Desreveaux et al, (2020) stated that for the appropriate buying of the car, the best option must be selected. Hence, for this, all three options need to be compared effectively. The author stated that better power is the benefit of using the petrol car. In case the petrol car is selected then it implies that they have high horsepower in comparison to the other two options. On the other hand, they also have a better acceleration in comparison to other options. On a contradictory note, Liu et al, (2022) stated that the benefit of using a diesel car is that it requires less maintenance. Thus, as a result of this, the maintenance cost is very low and will be more beneficial in comparison to the petrol cars.
In support of this, Bieker, (2021) stated that electric vehicles are the best because it has very low running costs. Thus, as a result of this, the cost of the buyer will be reduced. Moreover, as the car is battery-operated it does not create any harm to the environment. The battery-operated cars do not emit any substance which can harm the environment and as a result, the environment is protected against the harmful emission which takes place from other petrol or diesel-operated vehicles.
