The term digital technology refers to the electronic tools, devices, resources, and data processes that help in the erasure of work, over a digitized platform. The concept of digital technology is closely related to improvements and innovation. In this present era, it has been found that digital technologies are fast-growing with major innovations of technology. It has been observed that present-day gadgets use digital technology in all aspects. It is present in every industry and is moving towards the ease of work with every progressing day. The organization chosen here is Huawei. It is a technological firm present in the Shenzhen, region of China. The organization is focused on technology and technological peripherals that help in the development and innovation of technology. The report is structured to derive and analyze the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the organization. The effects of the analysis over the growth and innovation aspects are positive as well as the positives and negatives of the organization in adapting to the technological market.
Qualitative data on organizational growth
In order to qualitatively define the growth aspects of the organization, it can be said that the organization has been moving towards the development of the super fluid organization. The concept challenges the retro formats of innovation and business in a technology firm and moves towards the smart data-based management and growth of the organization. It focuses on the data field of units of business, organizational functions, and geographical subsidiaries (Alkhawajah, 2019). The organization has moved towards the development of innovation by separating the section of innovations based on their real-life uses. It also helps in the formation of specialized teams that generally comprise performers. Every team contains project experts and management leads in order to magnify the scope of growth and innovation. The organization believes that change is the only constant thing within the industry hence flexibility is implemented in every sector of the innovation (Yeo et al. 2020).
In the case of technological advancement, it has been observed that their innovation processes involve the regular dismantling of technology in order to assimilate towards better innovations. The fast growth of technology has maximized the chances of negatives or failures in the case of innovation. Huawei has backed its negatives with an effective risk arresting and development process that helps in the ideation and the identification of innovation risks (Huawei, 2022a). The organization also promotes safety and security over their organizational culture as well as the data-oriented innovation of the organization. Huawei considers resources to be the backbone of any organization hence it has been moving towards the formation of a high fluid organizational structure (Berning, 2019).
Quantitative analysis of growth and innovation
Huawei is an organization that has focused on cellular technology and the development of smart phones over a long period of time. It is evident that major advancements are based on the technologies of wireless communications and sparse superposition codes that may help in the future innovation of 6G technology (Huawei, 2022b). The organization has insisted on the development and implementation of new-age technologies that include Artificial intelligence in production, Big data analysis, and the Internet of Things. Communication has been the major focus of the organization that has the potential to be developed by the 6G network platforms. It is carried out by the use of ultra-dense networks of satellite and terrestrial cellular networks.
In the case of a Smartphone, media-oriented technologies it has been observed that the organization is focusing on computational optics and chroma image engine (Chacon and Rajawat, 2019). Display technology has also been a part of the innovation process that involves the UHD, latency, and the multi screen collaboration of the process. It has been observed that the organization is pacing towards the development of future technology that specializes in the application of innovation in daily life. Huawei is developing an ecology of innovation that focuses on the application of each aspect revolving around the betterment of human life. The organization considers that investment and resource allocation is the best way to implement innovation for the organization (Cartwright, M., 2020). The expenses of the organization are estimated to be increasing every year. The present spending stand at CNY 1,41,893 (Statista. 2022a). Comparing the previous investments it has been observed that the organization has maintained a steady increase of more than 10% every year for its investment budget. In terms of mobile device shipment, it has been observed that the organization has maximized its supply in the first quarter of 2020. The unit share stands at 20% of the proposed 32 million smart phones. The sale of smart phones on part of Huawei decreased after that quarter because of its use of self-owned software rather than using android (Statista. 2022b).
Tools and Ethical approaches
It is the use of ethical tools in the process of analysis of qualitative and quantitative data that have helped in the formation of the organization analysis. The process involves the use of charts and graphs as the primary tool used for quantitative analysis. It is important to know the fact that the organization's data helped in understanding the effective growth of the organization. It helps in determining their consumers' response to their business ideologies, evidence, and the improvement of business strategies (Mascitelli and Chung, 2019). The use of the statistics is marked on the basis of the growth of the organization and the probable feeds help in the decision-making capability of the management. It has been on the basis of the data that there has been the use of a modern theory that is based on the innovation growth prospects of the organization. In the case of the qualitative data analysis process, it can be identified that the secondary data retrieved from trusted sources like the organization's website provide ample light on the topic. It helps in the identification of the growth strategies of the organization and the latest technologies implemented by the (Luo, 2019). Apart from that it also focuses on the type of innovation to be implemented in the future based on the news articles and the flaws of the previous technology in real life.
Pros and Cons of Huawei Technology
Since the organization has mostly developed cellular technology within digital technology, it is helpful to provide the advantages and the disadvantages of their best-produced technologies. The positives of the Huawei Smartphone technology stand in the fact that their camera technology is a breakthrough within the Smartphone sector (Bbc, 2021). It is evident that the organization has collaborated with SONY as the providers of magnificent cameras. Apart from that, the organization has also invested in artificial lens technology that has helped in the flagship of their smart phones. The next positive side is the intervention of new technology. Huawei has been one of the trusted brands that have created benchmarks in innovation applications. It has always provided best-in-class innovation at reasonable prices and included bendable smart phones to AI technology implementation (Deng et al. 2018).
The cons of this technology are based on the fact that in order to implement innovation in each product they have lost focus on the design of their smart phones. It has been observed that their technologies and smart phones are thicker and heavy in weight than other products within the same range. They are low on protective measures for their mobile devices and security aspects for the products are breached. The major negativity of the brands is the no availability of Google services within the industry (Han and Liu, 2020). This has led to a major loss of consumers due to new software products rather than the trusted Google products.
Conclusion and Recommendation
It can be concluded that the digital technologies and innovations at Huawei have led to the growth of Huawei as an international brand. It has motivated the organization to lead the digital technology market with major innovations. In the present situation, the organization has been moving forwards to the development of the structure of the organization into a super fluid organization that has innovation at its core. The organization has been focusing on the development and integration of new technologies that involve 6G networks, better communication channels, and better smart phones with self-developed software.
Recommendations
It is recommended that the organization should also focus on product design rather than only innovation and technology. It needs the implementation of innovation in the designing of the components. It is important to align the fact that the technology is never-ending and being a single-player is never enough to capture the entire technology. The organization should move towards effective strategic collaborations. It can help the brand to reach better globalization platforms that may help it to grow with the new culture (Lattemann et al. 2020). The digital acceptance of the organization should be increased by the implementation of diversification in their innovation process. It is also recommended that Huawei should provide attention to the durability of their products. In order to make their products affordable, they are not able to implement much on the durability aspect. Hence it is important for the organization to develop external protective parts for their products in order to provide durability options for the consumers. In terms of the innovation aspect, it is important for the organization to increase its funding by increasing its global shareholders for the best innovation procedures.
