This essay's purpose is to help to understand the importance of inter-professional practice and areas of contemporary issues that arise in inter-professional practice. As a caregiver, I felt some experience, which helps me to understand the procedure of inter-professional practice. In this essay, I evaluated the principles of interprofessional practice, evaluated the systems of inter-professional practice, and searched for an effective way to collaborate with other professionals. Moreover, I evaluated the “skills”, “knowledge”, “values”, and “attributes” needed for inter-professional practice. What were the legal policies and the awareness plan for the inter-professional practice equally evaluated in this essay. In order, this essay also evaluated the contemporary issue, which is the reason behind the failures in patients' health care. This essay aims to understand the importance and contemporary issues in inter-professional practice.

Scenario

Working with other professionals is not easy; in teams of inter-profession practice, every team member belongs to another profession. That is why working with other professional members needs good collaboration skills. As per Estrada et al. (2022), the collaborative approach is essential in the health care sector. Respecting the other's perspective and working style, helping other team members do their assigned roles, and handling the conflict among the team members are the parts of good collaboration. In my case, I effectively tried to cooperate with with my teams, which helped me close all the communication gaps, and help to promote the patient's health. “Health and Social Care Act 2012", "Care Act 2014", "Children Act 2004", "Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018)", have some familiar outlines such as protecting the people (at any ages) within the areas of health-related problems and save them from the abused. In my evaluation, I realized that I should work on developing “Self-confidence", "Time management", and "Poor decision-making skill". The inter-professional work or collaborative work in the health sector provides service and work mainly based on some principles which help to complete the work fluently and also help in put the maximum effect. With the help of nurses and other health experts, and their guidelines I can improve some quality skill in myself. In my evaluation, I realised that I suffer from a lack of “Self-confidence", "Time management", and "Poor decision-making skill.

According to Jennings and Evans (2020), inter-professional practice can be improved by developing good communication skills, having a well understanding of taking responsibility, cooperative working skills, and having respect and trust for each other. According to O'Donnell et al. (2021), the purpose of inter-professional practices in health care is to give the benefits of promoting the patient's health, improve the patient mental health condition and as well identify the treatment error and solve the problem. According to Ramprasad, Mansingh and Gupta (2020), these acts and awareness plans are required for every carer and all health care experts to understand their responsibility and help to do the inter-professional practice. In this case I follow the guidelines to improve my skill in order to provide proper health care and health protection.

Critical analysis

Inter-professional practice is an effective process that can help in growing and developing health care and also in providing health care services in a better way to the public and also in case of managing family issues. According to the report of Cavalcante et al. (2019), the inter-professional practice in case of the health care is mainly the collaborative work or group work that can help the whole health care sector to work efficiently without meeting any issues like unavailability of health accessories and unavailability of the staff within the health care sector. Inter-professional practice is the most effective patients care treatment procedure and also in resolving the family issues and the problem in a society that has a negative impact the public health. In the case of the health care sector, many organizations may work in collaboration to improve the quality of the health service to the public or to the population of a community (Dickinson et al. 2021). These factors are very effective in creating a good impact of collaborative work in the health care service. As per the previous study, good communication skill helps to understand the patients’ condition and the other factors that are related to the conditions of the patient effectively and build a good environment in the working palace. In my case, therefore I need to develop better communication skills so that it helps me to understand the mental, physical and social condition of patients.

Benefits of interprofessional practice

The interprofessional practice by the means of collaborative work mainly in the healthcare sectors helps in developing the structure of the healthcare providing system. Collaborative or interprofessional work involves many more workers from different professionals who are related to health care management and the healthcare system. Therefore the collaborative approach is a very important thing in the health care sector as it focuses on delivering the highest quality of care band health management to the patients, families, and communities (Lateef, 2018). In my case, I need to work on improving my cooperative skill in case of teamwork or interprofessional practice. It can help me to close all the communication gaps and to promote awareness about the health condition.

The Reflection model followed to improve the inter-professional skills

Working with a team it is not easy to cooperate with each member while meeting the need of the patient and the requirements of the public regarding the health service. Every case needs a specialized senior in the team and it is also important to understand the condition of the patient and the family by each staff of a collaborative work team. According to Robertshaw and Cross (2019), dealing with different professionals in order to give a proper and better service to the patient and their family is quite problematic. I faced a problem in my workplace about the delay of the senior staff, where I become a little confused while taking decision of giving the primary treatment to the patient myself. I try my best to reduce the communication gaps while improving my action skill and decision-making skill in myself so that it becomes easy to deal with the situation well.

Importance of developing skills in the interprofessional work

In collaborative work or in interprofessional work, the main challenge was focusing on developing a better relationship with the patient and the health care professionals. Communication skills, teamwork, facing challenges, confidently dealing with the situation, and respect for other members are the important factors that should be developed among the member of the team to provide the maximum care therefore reducing the communication gap with other team members is also important. Having a teamwork capacity is required for every inter-professional practice team member. According to O'Donnell et al.(2021), the purpose of inter-professional practices in health care is to promote better care for the patient's health, to improve the patient mental health condition, and as well identify the treatment error and solve the problem.

In my case, when the service user's health condition distorted, I called the senior nurse and started giving the primary treatment by setting the saline stand and started providing saline. and noted the oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and heart rate of the patient. In this case, it was the only primary solution, which was to provide some rest and stability to the patients or service users. After the nurse came I explained the situation, she appreciated my work and problem-solving skills to handle the service user in this tough situation. With the help of mycommunication skill”, “ability for teamwork”, “emotional competence”, and “elegant challenging Confidence in sharing information” skills help to save the service user's life. As per my knowledge, I helped the patient with my potential and hard work. Good potentiality and hard work play a crucial role in a carer's professional development. This appreciation helps to increase my confidence level, and enhance my power to serve many patients in the future (Lateef, 2018).

Challenges in interprofessional skill development

In this case, there are many barriers to the working procedure. It was a situation when the service user's health condition deteriorated suddenly. This created a panic situation for me and confused me what should I do first is keep patience and control the situation with good communication with the family members of the patient. Panicking in a bad situation makes the situation get worse (Blakey et al. 2021). Secondly, service users were shouting about the pain in her ankle. Thirdly, the service user's blood pressure is extremely high because of ankle pain. Family members start panicking and they are shouting and crying. Handling the whole situation was a little bit problematic for me. At that point, I was also feeling nervous about the suddenly occurring situation.

In the present condition, calmness and pleasantness of mind are the most important parts. As per my experience, I get nervous at first when the situation occurs, yet after some time I understand the situation and am done with my respective work. As per the words of Lumbis et al.(2019), in the health care practice keeping the mind calm is a highly demanding thing, if the carer gets nervous then the whole situation gets worse conditions. Critically understanding the situation and taking effective steps for handling the situation requires skill, knowledge about primary treatment, and the values of interprofessional practice.

Systematic understanding and awareness

Inter-professional practice or the IPP is the most effective treatment system for providing service and proper care by understanding the condition of the patient band also to understand the overall situation. Having good health is the most important for everyone and each and every person has the right to access medical health care (Penner et al. 2020). Many health organizations are taking some measures to spread awareness about having good health, and how to deal with poor health conditions. There are some effective health protection acts that are published by many authorized health organizations to give good care for mental and physical health to people. In my opinion, these acts are important for every health-related emergency.

The health awareness plans are required for every carer and all of the health care experts to understand their responsibility and help to do the inter-professional practice. In this case, I followed the policy of the "Health and Social Care Act 2012” which helps to guide for taking required steps. The nervousness is the most dangerous thing for the health experts such as carers, nurses, and doctors, due to nervousness health experts can fail to continue a patient's treatment procedure (Dickinson et al. 2021). Nevertheless, in an emergency situation, I recognize the situation first and try to understand that is the most important act that I need to grow in order to meet the requirement of the patient.

Maintaining a calm mindset is an important activity during the treatment process. As per my knowledge, I need to work more in this case with the help of this act and awareness plan, I enhance my knowledge to give the best treatment to the patient by understanding the condition and identifying the main issues behind a problem. All of these previous maintenance acts and awareness plans need to update from time to time because of the various emergencies and increasing health problems.

Action plan

In the healthcare industry, many failure cases appear daily due to the unavailability of adequate staff and proper sources of medication. The poor health practice among the health care management is another biggest problem in this case. Patients or service users face difficulty to continue the treatment because they do not know the proper procedure of the hospital. Therefore the proper guidelines for health practice management should be developed. In my opinion, due to the negligence of the inexperienced health experts or the wrong treatment procedure patients' health can deteriorate decreased or even patients can expire. Every year many patients of service users die due to the negligence of the health experts (Shrivastava and Shrivastava, 2020). it is very important, to have a piece of good educational knowledge about health care management and an understanding of health importance for the patient's treatment. The proper practice guidelines to improve the interprofessional skill is necessary to meet the required skill to develop among the management staff and the health professional staff. I realized that if I do not follow the news and the awareness plan, which many health experts, then patients or service users plan can face more difficulty than before. Accoprding to Bolger (2020), keeping yourself updated with the time helps to lead a health practice. It is required in the medical or health field the take more care of patients or service users. In my action plan, I include reading the newspaper on a daily basis, which helps me, update. In addition, I will try to update myself with the upcoming policies. As I mentioned previously I analyzed some problems, which are creating difficulty to provide my service.

Conclusion

This present essay has concluded with my personal experience with care plans by elaborating on the importance of inter-professional problems and contemporary issues. It has occurred during the treatment periods, as inter-professional practices are very famous in the current generation. Now multiple diseases and disorders affect people at the same time because of increased daily pressure and unhealthy food competition. With the help of different areas, professionals can solve multiple problems easily. In the time of inter-professional practice, many contemporary issues are arises, with the help of a good action plan contemporary issues can be resolved.

Lack of self-confidence is one of my main problems of mine, due to the lack of self-confidence I fail to start treatment of service users at the first. In my action plan, I also include the increased self-confidence goals with the help of a guide. I need to improve my time management skills and it also including my action plan. I realized I face a little bit of a problem with decision-making during emergency periods. Decision-making is most important to give the proper treatment to the service user. Therefore, enhancing my decision-making skill is also included in my action plan.
