Task 1: Business process
In this project, the strategy for the success of the business of “Boston Dynamics” was envisaged. This was done to find out the ease of expansion of this company in Europe. To do this, a BPMN 2.0 model was created.
The full name of BPMN is “Business Process Management & Notation”. This is considered to be a modelling standard. The main use of this is it helps in the mapping of the business process. In contrast to the other processes of modelling of business, this tool helps in making the stakeholders of the business understand the process of business well. As this entire process is graphically represented so this becomes easily understandable to everyone. There are different elements present in this. The main elements that are part of this tool are “flow objects”, “data”, “connecting objects”, “swimlanes”, and “artefacts”.
Different types of BPMN can be observed.
The first type of this is called “Document-centric” BPMN. The main this that is shown here is the preparation of documents that goes through the different approvals. The most used application of this can be seen in the process of creating “legal documents”. The journey of a document through the different stakeholders is shown here. In this process, the input is taken from several people & the document is created after the approval of the documents.
The next one is called “integration-centric” BPMN. In this, the main work that is done is to integrate the business software of the company with the for solving the problems of the company. In addition to this, the flow of data is also maintained in this process (Lazirkha et al. 2022). Hence, with the use of the software, the work progresses faster.
Another BPMN that is used is called “Human-centric” BPMN. One of the main characteristics of this is that in this there is a need for intervention in humans. In the other form of BPMNs, it can be seen that the process is automatic where making changes in between is not possible. On the other hand in this BPMN, because of the involvement of humans, there is a chance of making changes in the process.

The process that is going to be followed by the company is as follows.
The process of working for the company is described here in the form of BPMN 2.0. It is to be noted that “Boston Dynamics” is a company that prepares robots & robotic parts. There is an increasing demand for these items can be seen in Europe (Christa et al. 2020). For this reason, a proper sequence of activities or process plan was prepared from placing an order to the product reaching its customer. The process is as follows.
The first thing that will be on this list is the placing of an order. This is the thing that is done from the side of the customer. It is the only process that is not controlled by the company. This company is well established in the USA. So, the demand for the products of it may be less in Europe at the start (Sjödin et al. 2020). Although irrespective of the demand for the products the process of this company should be carried out according to the decided process. After receiving the order the capacity of the company for fulfilling the order is planned to be investigated. It is known that the demands of different customers may be different from each other. So, it is better to check first whether it is possible to fulfill the requirements of the customer. If not possible feedback is provided to the customer. If it is possible then the confirmation of the order be forwarded to both the customer & the manufacturer (Mokhnenko et al. 2021). In addition to this, after confirming the availability of materials is checked by the different suppliers. Based on this, the suppliers who can deliver all the materials are chosen for taking raw materials. After getting the raw materials the manufacturer prepares the item that is required by the customer. After the preparation of the desired item, the order is delivered to the customer. Next, if all the parts are not obtained by the customer the order is rejected by the customer. If obtained then also positive feedback from the customer is obtained.

Rather than it should be focused on practically how much the company can achieve.
